They Love Tony!
A few of my girl friends hit me up about 2 weeks ago with birthday plans for our friend Tony. They had the idea of making a bunch of shirts that said, "I heart Tony" so that when we all went out for Tony's birthday there would be around ten girls wearing these shirts. I was down with the idea and I must say the night was pretty hilarious. Tony also had a name tag that said "Hello my name is Tony" just so everyone knew who these girls loved.
I want one of these black jesus pieces so bad. Ever since I saw Kanye's. Gonna have to hit up the jeweler and see what's good! I'm feeling those shoes too.
So the shutter shades that Kanye West made famous for 5 mins may now be replaced with something even more ridiculous in eyewear. I'm not sure if Mr. West would wear these, but if he did, Slantie may want to make a custom pair of black wood ones. Even though these are odd, I like them for the design and simplicity they offer. Pretty unique. I don't think you can drive with them on though. Somebody famous will wear them eventually. Price around $75 at www.slantie.com
I've had the urge to do more custom tees in the next DENAWTI collection. So the Spring '09 collection will feature custom screened garnets with intentional imperfections within the print and fabric. These imperfections guarantee that no two garments are alike.. Recently some members of the Official DENAWTI Facebook group won some samples of what's to come. The tees were shipped today!
This was real refreshing to see the new tab on the Red Bull can. I love it! When I see things like this I always think to myself, "These guys are having fun." The small touches on packaging really go far in appreciation. This recently reached the Pittsburgh area, probably way behind the rest of the US.
So this is the Winter Denawti product brochure that gets sent out in the mail. I'm pretty excited about it. There's been a mixed review on the Winter collection, Leg Fetish. Most retailers have disqualified the collection and have turned it away saying that it is great design yet too X-rated. Overstand and Understood. Some people have contacted me and spoke their opinions on how wrong the collection is and how I've gone off track with the direction of the brand. I don't think so. That's kind of all that matters, really. The point that I start holding back my thoughts and not conveying them through design, is the point where I sell out and get influenced by not what I think, but by, "What's little Johnny gonna think about this design?" So I don't. There are so many great concepts for the Spring/ Summer collection. I can't wait to move forward and fly higher than we are now!
This is a pretty cool video. I just end up laughing every time I see it. James' powder routine mixed with Lil Wayne says drugs to me. I think Nike has something else in mind. There's just something about Wayne wiping a white substance off his shoes...

So I have this new obsession of owning only black watches. I think this came from my love of wearing black clothes in the winter time. The title of this log is derived from a Lil Wayne rap when he says, "All my guns are black, I got true soul." I don't want all black guns, but all black watches would be nice...may not go with every outfit, but so far I've made it work. When I saw the 51-30 PU Chrono NIXON watch, I fell in love with it. Took a trip down to Saks Fifth Ave and ran into these Diesel kicks, I'm Pression. The were used in my photo shoot for Denawti. The shoe was put together very well and is made of what seems to be strong material. Even the laces are pretty heavy duty. They've been great shoes in the Pittsburgh winter weather.
